A Home Built on Gratitude.
We didn't start this home to run a business. We started it because someone did it for us.
Mariama Tengbeh, MSW
When Mariama's husband first arrived in the United States, he was alone in an unfamiliar country. He had no family nearby, no network, no one to turn to. It was an elderly couple — neighbors in their 70s — who took him in. They fed him, supported him, and cared for him without hesitation until he found his footing.
That act of generosity stayed with Mariama. She went on to earn her Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Washington — dedicating her career to understanding human dignity, vulnerability, and the systems that either support or fail people in their most fragile moments.
Welcome Adult Family Home was born from that story. It is a promise — to every senior who walks through our door — that they will be met with the same warmth, the same patience, and the same unconditional care that changed her husband's life.
